“Where everyone is inspired and challenged to excel.”

Message from Mr. Springer

It is with tremendous excitement that I welcome you to East Pike Elementary School.  It is my pleasure to serve as your principal. We are building a truly special place where every child is empowered to grow not only as a learner but also as a person.

At East Pike, we believe that academic excellence and emotional well-being go hand-in-hand. While our dedicated teachers and staff challenge students daily in academics, we place equal importance on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL).

We are committed to teaching our students the essential life skills needed to navigate a complex world. Our focus on SEL helps students:

Develop Strong Relationships: Learning how to be a kind friend, work well in a group, and show empathy.
Practice Self-Regulation: Identifying their emotions and using healthy strategies to manage them, so they can focus and be ready to learn.

Make Responsible Decisions: Understanding the impact of their choices on themselves and the community.
This focus creates a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking for help, and celebrating their successes. When children feel secure and understood, they are able to access their greatest academic potential.

We invite you to partner with us in this crucial work. Please explore our website for resources, connect with our dedicated staff, and join us for school events.

Together, we will ensure that every Piker is equipped with the skills and confidence to thrive!

Sincerely,
Donald Springer
