Welcome to East Pike Elementary School. We are so excited to have nearly 400 students walk through our doors. East Pike is filled with adults who can't wait for you to arrive. We know that many of you are nervous to start a new school year, but we have all spent a lot of time planning to make your first day of school as safe and exciting as possible.
This past year has turned us all around and forced us to make adjustments in so many different ways. As things begin to seem more normal, we recognize that over the past school year children are coming to us from a variety of learning platforms. For some, this is the first time they will be learning face to face in an elementary school classroom. While others have been in our schools and some even attended our summer program and are used to learning in person. It is our mission to meet each learner as they step foot in our schools and to provide them with the tools they need to be an exceptional student.
While we recognize that learning is designed to be challenging. We also recognize that each student is a unique individual who will need support as well as encouragement in different ways. Your partnership with us is key to making this a smooth process. Please reach out to your children's teachers when things are not going well. They are more than eager to help you through any rough spot. If the work is too much or not enough, reach out. I think you get the point. Each and every staff member at East Pike is ready, willing, and able to support you. All you need to do is reach out.
