It is with tremendous excitement that I welcome you to East Pike Elementary School. It is my pleasure to serve as your principal. We are building a truly special place where every child is empowered to grow not only as a learner but also as a person.

We are committed to teaching our students the essential life skills needed to navigate a complex world. Our focus on SEL helps students:
- Develop Strong Relationships: Learning how to be a kind friend, work well in a group, and show empathy.
- Practice Self-Regulation: Identifying their emotions and using healthy strategies to manage them, so they can focus and be ready to learn.
- Make Responsible Decisions: Understanding the impact of their choices on themselves and the community.
This focus creates a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking for help, and celebrating their successes. When children feel secure and understood, they are able to access their greatest academic potential.
